Jenna Stewart joined GMGM as an associate attorney in October 2012. Before graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, cum laude, and passing the bar, Ms. Stewart worked as a law clerk at GMGM begining in May 2011. While in law school, Ms. Stewart was on Law Review and received Book Awards for the highest grade in the class in Civil Procedure, Pre-trial Litigation, and Professional Responsibility. Ms. Stewart was also the president of the LGBT student organization, the OUTLaws. While president of OUTLaws, Ms. Stewart was the symposium chair for the organization’s Anti-Bullying Symposium. Ms. Stewart is also a certified mediator with the state of Michigan.
Ms. Stewart has a passion for civil rights litigation, which made her an instant asset to the GMGM Employment Law team. She has worked on various employment law cases since joining the firm in 2011, including sexual harassment, age, race, gender, and disability discrimination, labor arbitrations involving discipline and termination, unlawful retaliation and other types of wrongful termination cases, non-payment of wages cases, non-compete agreement cases, and cases involving unemployment benefits. Ms. Stewart has worked with both employees and employers in a variety of industries.
